Wow!

The Belmont Stakes Party was a great kick-off to the summer of fun at Mount Mitchell Golf Club.  The community came together on Saturday, June 10th, 2023 to enjoy the race and raise money for the Mount Mitchell Community Fund whose mission is to “meet the needs of impoverished children in Yancey County”.

Guests enjoyed a complimentary  “Belmont Jewel” cocktail upon check in and later a delicious dinner of steak and shrimp.

There was lots of cheering as the race commenced and we had a raffle to see who picked the winners.  Most of the winners generously donated their winnings to the charity.
